No prisoner exchange: not even 74 for 1

Thiers and the government of Versailles reject the proposal to exchange the 74 hostages in the hands of the Commune de Paris, including the Archbishop of Paris, for only Auguste Blanqui (famous French revolutionary) imprisoned in the prison of the fort of Taureau, a small island located in the bay of Morlaix, Brittany.
